Dress Code
Part of what is taught in class is proper dance-room etiquette. Students are expected to follow class room etiquette and conduct themselves in a disciplined and respectful manner at all times. Absolutely no gum, candy or soda in class. No jewelry. The dress code is part of class room etiquette.
Tiny Tot & Intro to Dance:
- Pink tights, pink leotard, pink ballet shoes & black tap shoes
- Tutus and dance skirts are allowed
Ballet:
- Hair in a secure bun. Wisps and strands clipped and/or sprayed down
- Leotard - color determined by level
- Pink ballet shoes
- Pink tights. No bare legs. Capri length tights are acceptable
- Short black dance skirt, booty shorts, or skorts & warmers (black or same as leotard) allowed
Jazz & Tap:
- Hair in a bun or high pony tail. Wisps and strands clipped and/or sprayed down
- Leotard - color determined by level
- Black Jazz or Tap shoes
- Pink or black tights
- Black jazz pants, leggings, skorts or booty shorts, matching tank top over leotard and matching warmers are allowed. No bare legs. Capri length tights are acceptable
Hip Hop:
- Hair - Girls - pulled back, preferably in a low pony tail. Baseball caps are allowed
- Hip Hop or Tennis shoes
- Clothes that you can move easily in. No pants hanging below hips (you need to be focused on the dance moves – not weather your pants are going to fall down). No bare mid-drifts
- Shorts & skorts with tights &/or leggings underneath for girls. Long shorts, sweats for boys (jeans are okay for hip hop as long as you can move in them)
- No skirts or booty shorts without tights or leggings
Tumbling:
- Hair - pulled back in a low pony tail
- Bare feet
- Leotard - No bare mid-drifts
- Capri tights or leggings
- Shorts or sweat pants are allowed over leotard & tights
- Boys: White T-Shirt and Shorts or Sweat Pants
