Dance Classes   Ballet Dancing Dance Conservatory

Tracy Van Baalen - Owner/Director

The Dance Conservatory is the culmination of Ms. Van Baalen’s many years of experience in the world of Classical Ballet, an unending drive and vision; and, an acceptance that the world of Performing Art, while deeply rooted in tradition, is also constantly changing and evolving.

In her formative years Ms Van Baalen trained with such notables as Carol Grabowski (Royal Ballet & National Ballet), Jackie Hepner (National Ballet & N.Y. City Ballet), and Wilson Morrelli (Ballet Ruse de Monte Carlo, Hollywood Movies). She was both a soloist and principal dancer. She has extensive teaching, performance, choreographic, production and costuming experience.

By embracing many dance styles, as well as the fusion of dance styles that so enliven the Performing Art of Dance today, she effectively bridges the gaps between classical and contemporary styles. And, by welcoming all students equally, she bridges the gap between the recreational and serious dancer; treating all students like they count and they can – leaving open the opportunity to cross that bridge.

Her integrity and dedication to her students and their training has allowed her the pleasure of seeing many students develop and grow from children into adults. Some transitioning into the professional world of dance, others into colleges and more mainstream careers; but all step into their adulthood with a greater sense of self-confidence and a life long love and appreciation for the Performing Art of Dance.
